Good feedback MMMoney. If you look at the suburbs you operate in and compare REA to RNT, you'll see a stark difference in the number of listings. In Perth at least RNT appears to have gotten more traction but on the East Coast they only carry 1/4 to 1/2 of listings that REA does. Northcote for example has 31 on RNT and 103 on REA. The feedback you had from other agency users is pretty damning if the paid stuff is well out of whack with what other sites offer.
As I regularly point out the UVs number is a red herring - person visits site, see few listings, and leaves. There are very few self managed landlords using it at the moment. REA could kill this with a few lines of code by offering a "List your own rental" service costing a week's rent.
