Tesserent recently sponsored this event at the RACV club (see bottom Bronze Event Partner) - some heavy hitters were in attendance........shows that businesses are becoming more concerned about cyber security.

Hopefully those 2 sales executives that Tesserent are about to hire are real killers......there are significant tail winds for Tesserent's business......cyber attacks every second week.......just an issue of whether Tesserent can take advantage of its opportunities going forward.

‘The Resolution’ 2017 Cyber Security Board Meeting

Participate with Leading Company Directors Making a Major Decision on Cyber Security

A strategic customer service project aiming to establish global leadership also has the potential to destroy the company’s brand.
    What will you decide?

Company directors learn best from each other and their preferred learning style is by ‘doing’.
This exciting new style event brings company directors together with experts and advisors in a practical hypothetical challenge where a highly-experienced board receive their board papers from the company’s board technology and risk subcommittee 2 weeks prior to the event.

This hypothetical board will then allow you to look in on the board meeting at which they receive a 15 minute presentation from the expert panel that advised the company on the matter outlined in the board paper. You will gain unique insights and learnings as you see the hypothetical board interact with the expert panel, questioning the panel before making their critical boardroom decision.

This unique event will feature ‘The Resolution Board of Directors’:
    • Graeme Samuel - Chair of National Institute for Dementia Research and president of Alzheimer’s Australia and a board member of Aged Care Financing Authority. Graeme is a Vice Chancellor's Professorial Fellow in the Monash Business School and a specialist in competition and consumer regulation, communications and media, corporate governance, strategic planning and change management, public policy and dealings with government and regulators.
    • Lindsay Tanner a board member of Covata Limited a global leader in data-centric security solutions, a non-executive director for Virgin Australia International Holdings, board member of the Australian Advisory Board for Canadian Steamships and importantly Chairman of the Essendon Football Club.
    • Sue O’Connor FAICD - an experienced Chairman, Director and business leader. Sue has served as a Chairman, Director and senior executive with ASX Top10 and unlisted global organisations as well as high profile government GBEs and not for profits. She is currently Chair of Yarra Valley Water and a Director of Mercer Superannuation, Transport Accident Commission, State Trustees Victoria and ClimateWorks Australia and an Advisory Council Member of the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.
Your learning experience begins when you register. You will be invited to join the board technology and risk subcommittee and you will be able to read the board papers and ask questions of the expert panel and contribute as a valuable member of the decision-making process.
Following this event, you will have access to the many digital artefacts created by the process to improve how you operate in your capacity as a board member, expert or advisor in this space.
If you need to know more about…
    • How and when should the board be engaged with technology matters
    • How to establish a board technology and risk sub-committee
    • What a well-positioned board paper should contain
    • What Board policies need to be in place on cyber security
…then this is a ‘must see’ event for you!
