Yes Bugler, the penny has dropped with CSIRO, Finkel and Arena, the paradigm energy shift its unfolding before our very eyes. And yes, its relevant to this forum because whatever the market was for solar generated power, already growing exponentially will now explode because water split hydrogen is economical for making liquid fuels, chemical feed stock, fertilisers etc , not just electricity. 3rd generation solar will provide the 2 c kWh power that will make it all happen economically, vs ~ 4c for silicon solar, 6c for wind and 8c plus for fossil fuels.

meantime, our "leaders" spill over the right wings dummy spit over not getting the coal fired power station that would cost $3 billion, take 8 years to construct and pump out electricity at rates that would cause price increases, not decreases. Its cheaper to go solar - hydrogen - fuel cell than coal - stream - generator.

Malcom is yet again impaled on the same carbon tipped petard as Rudd - Gillard - Rudd -Turnbull - Abbott were all skewered one way or the tother over climate and energy policy - so climate change is pulling the political strings even if the pollie puppets don't know it. And its only just begun. The planets weather and oceanic systems roil as the temperature rises, the full extent of the damage were doing to the planet and its ecosystems by re-gassifying the very excess fossil fuel carbon required to maintain an ideal climatic equilibrium are now manifesting themselves in truly frightening ways. Just ask our farmers, reef scientists, a billion soaking Indians or Japanese, Hawaiians or Californians to name a few, currently experiencing tempests. They witness the devastating consequences of doing so regardless of whether we try and deny it or not or who we vote for
