BUDAPEST, Aug 30 (Reuters) Germany's Hochtief AG made the top bid, at 390 billion forints ($1.96 billion), for a 75 percent stake, minus one vote, in Budapest Airport, Hungarian daily Magyar Hirlap reported on Tuesday.
The newspaper cited unnamed sources familiar with the deal.
The second-highest offer came from Frankfurt Airport operator Fraport AG , followed by Britain's BAA Plc .
A spokeswoman for privatisation agency APV declined to comment on the matter.
APV announced a short list of five companies that made it to the second round of bidding on Friday.
The others were Denmark's Copenhagen Airports A/S and Australia's Macquarie Airports Holdings Ltd.
