Look, tiger, I'm not going to sit here and disagree with you because I knew that I was out of line when I wrote that above post, but that's beside the point.
What really matters here is that HotCopper is a great medium to share thoughts between one investor and another. If you feel uncomfortable with me posting my 'suspicions' then TOU my post and leave its fate up to the hands of the moderators.
I have a few reasons to suspect that the Chan Superfund are the ones to look out for. One problem with HC is that we can't share every little detail of what we know because sometimes we are told things in confidence but what I will say is I remember looking at the course of sales on the day that CAP dropped 17%. I noted that a large number of shares were sold as a cumulative batch over a couple of hours in what seemed like an urgent attempt to rid oneself of their holding. I recall adding up all the odd numbered orders over that period of time (such as 101723, 78210 or 38942) and reaching a number of exactly 600k.
Funnily enough, #11 from the April Top20 held exactly 600k shares, hence why I mentioned that this is the one to look out for in the next Top20 update.
Now I have no idea if the stock is being capped, let alone who might be capping it, but I would hazard a guess that if #11 had sold their holding last month, and wanted to re-enter the stock at a cheaper price, they might put a lid on the share price in the short term.
Now let's wait and see what the Top20 update has to say about all of this. Hopefully Chris can get it out by week's end.
