    hi ninelives,

good to see you here. you have come a long way since our early days. i am proud of you.

i admit to hardly ever understanding all the clever chartist posts i see on hc and know there are a few who do make some good harvests. good fortune to all those who work hard at it.

i cannot give hc/oz the time i would like as almost all of my funds are based back in the uk. tis there on the london mkt where i am concentrating. not necessarily UK stocks but mostly asia, usa and european funds. i cannot afford to risk a currency loss from investing too much in oz or nz. your very strong ozzie scared me away lol. i am not complaining tho as have prob had one of the best 6 mths ever mkt wise thanks to a falling pound, ha ha. seriously tho, i have to protect my base and that i have achieved as my portfolio has not only been making new highs in GBP but Euros too. all in, the ozzy valuations hang in close behind. in my book this is a good balance. i do admit that pulling out of oz mid 2011 could have been bettered waiting but not to be greedy. my time will come ..... gees i hope so ! fall you ozzy, fall, ha ha.

as for wtp. there has been a lot of botting and some rather strange moves since i bought in 25/10/12 at 61 cents. however, i remain unmoved by it all. the big seller fri got taken out well enough and i feel it might be the last sale by mr or mrs ?. it looked like a desperate get out to me and only the seller knows why they scarpered. i also feel they have been around a long time wanting out. i await an sshn for any news.

what i like really about watpac is that it has a tremendous presence and imo a very good culture. having said that the past master running the show got too much debt on the table and our new ceo has not only the experience of the company behind him but a better measure of the financials going forward. i remember leighton back in 1991 at just under one dollar. wtp looks to me like leighton did back then.

the latest $200 million project won is not as important to me as the ibis hotel one. ibis is part of the accor chain of hotels listed in paris (i hold accor). accor is one very, very, well run company with a culture second to few. accor with watpac behind it could lead to some very good business not only in oz but in australasia in general. only my thoughts but from my following of accor they will not be sitting still. watpac might get some decent follow up business imo.

watpac has presence. one only needs to know brissy well for that.

with nta well under the current share price there is room and comfortable room at that imo to support any nasties economically. i doubt there will be much in this direction in oz as it is only a matter of time that any mining industry slowdown will develop into more infrastructure contracts in oz being brought along. the political balancing machine at work.

wtp very little downside but huge upside imo.

i don't own a huge amount as i only have play money in oz and nz but i do hold a small few with my jolly broker in nz also (bought on the asx of course).

my current stocks of interest are BFG (sold a few recently after doubling for me)
GEM recently bought in at $1.955
    WTP
and of course, geoff wilson's wonderful WAX.

again, i say, i only have pennies really invested downunder but i like to keep in touch with oz. i had a div slip in yesterday from WRT and it made me quiver. i haven't had a divi from oz for quite a while as i only got back into the mkt back end of last yr having been out since mid 2011.

all this said i have to admit blowing quite a bit last yr on trf and ife. if one can say that directors have responsibilities then let the world know. a nice profit past yrs blown down to a few cents. but profit it was and i did enjoy the coffee it bought lol.

keep up the good work ninelives. i do notice you around but time ! where does it all go ?

and for me, quite a serious post for once.

    be good,

    40.
