Companies have long hidden behind having to produce original abstracts for conferences so only new stuff is presented and not just same old rehashed and often the conference with bind that presentation so it can only be used there and available to ticket holders. Most listed companies also get a exemption and place on company website as it is required to ensure ASX compliance. I've had it before where asx co say all the info is on website and they have just presented it in a new form but the concise nature and internation of what they present to academics is vastly different to the "marketing"they do to shareholders as academics need data and numbers to verify assumptions. I also get peeved when company pays and they represent their university on occasions in other companies. If we are paying I want our name on it. Geeze I wonder if we were presenting on delays in trials as we are expert at that!

PS my initial post was a little tongue in cheek frustrated at how little info company has been providing and it's format.
