Read the wording of conspiracy articles carefully "potential", "might" etc etc. Our gear is from the same source code and motherboards, just with outdated security updates. My Australian modem even has has a security flaw which in the same modem from overseas was fixed. They are just mistakes, I hack modems for fun ;oP and my network has simple added tricks so pretty immune although not to a silly extent of encryption or the CIA coined "dark web" (that probably sends everything neatly via the FBI anyway). The US monitor me, judging by the content of their latest movies, they think I am funny (just a little conspiracy joke... for "them").
