You are right of course mate. A higher API helps clear the 'skin' of the pipe, keeping the 'pigs' at bay. May well find Alyeska happy to discount that USD5/barrel (?) they charge to get it to Valdez, with the potential to mitigate maintenance costs a little? Long way from those considerations us though, i suppose.
