    Well confirmation only occurs if they were to sell it...and in that case, the value of it will be what the buyer pays for it. Which could be nowhere near the $80M. After all they only bought it for around $4M themselves from administrators. And the previous company bought it for $9M from memory.

    All the $80M is is an estimate of what it would cost to build that exact same plant from scratch with new equipment, ie its replacement value.

    That amount would actually be quite a bit higher now given the strength of gold atm is increasing the cost of gold specialised infrastructure. I've seen an estimate of $120M floating around.

    When that figure becomes relevant is if they manage to obtain sizeable resources and start producing profitably from the plant. Not an easy task, since the grade needs to be appropriate (as the recent failures have found out). At that time, then the replacement value of the plant becomes an important consideration should another company decided to have a tilt at a TKO or MKO decide to sell the business (unlikely).
