A food crisis is not a possibility or even a probability. it's inevitable... just the timing and size are open to debate. My prediction is that it will appear far faster than most anticipate. look at South Africa where i am on holidays. Two bumper years of maize harvest saw huge tonnages exported... including many tons sold forward... even as recently as 3 months ago. Suddenly country has realised the surplus has been exported, and is now starting to import maize (a staple) at prices 30% higher than was on offer in April!
