Last year I decided to bust a gut and landscape the backyard. I build a nice retaining wall and travertine pavers and to finish off my solution to repetitiously mowing the lawn I filled large parts with decorative pebbles. It looks great and just to celebrate the dog decided it’s got a great new rock garden toilet to poop on much to my dismay. It's a big dog with big deposits and as it is old with a bit of dementia, training is not really a solution.
So far I have tried citronella, boiled up habanero chili water sprayed everywhere and camphor to try to discourage the habit but to no avail. It has a backyard full of grass and does it on the rocks possibly for nothing more than the pleasure of annoying me. It is acting like it has been getting lessons from the cat.
Does anyone have any bright ideas of a way to discourage the habit?
