This, IMO, shows that Sprott is very keen on this Copper Belt - they tried to access it one way, and were denied, so made the effort of finding a work around in MTR.

This is even more significant, IMO, if you see what MTR have done subsequent to Sprott's involvement:

(1) Abandoned their tilt at Kingsgate
(2) Word is they will spin out their remaining Thai asset in due course
(3) Gained further exposure to the KCB via deals outside of their relationship with MOD
(4) Exchanged share of T3 for MOD shares, making development pathway easier for MOD (financing)
(5) Retained blue sky upside via their exploration tenements
(6) Increased their exposure to MOD via on-market share purchases

All of the above speaks of Sprott's guidance in positioning MTR to be solely focused on this KCB play.

As an aside, note that Ivanhoe have just made their third major discovery in the DRC.

Whilst MOD don't have a "known" Kamoa Kakula on their tenements, I think Ivanhoe's analogue (and Cupric's), provides confidence that there will be a lot more Cu to be found on the KCB and it is simply a matter of investors having sufficient patience to out-wait the disinterested market.

negotiating the ringfencing of Sprott's maiden investment in MTR to be solely used for the JV
