Silver staying above AUD$23 is crucial for CCU to be profitable. Even if they get the ball mill running and hit nameplate capacity of 200,000 oz, they need silver price to be above AUD$23 to be profitable.
I think it's reasonable for the investor to dump CCU if he/she thinks if silver will stay below AUD $23 for a long time. But I do not belong in this camp :)
I believe sub-AUD$23 prices will be but a temporary correction/consolidation before the next run up. And my bet is that the run-up beyond AUD$23 will happen before CCU gets to nameplate capacity by end of this year.
I'm 50% down with CCU now, but am already mentally prepared that when silver equities fall, they fall like a rock, when silver equities rise, they rise like fireworks. I shall be waiting for the fireworks.
