Got barley off which quality was good and yields about what we expected however graincorp manager was telling me screening were right up for a lot of samples that had been in earlier. They ended up opening up a f2 bin. Wheat was a day or 2 of going before it rained however samples taken had high screening and to my surprise protein was down. Thought with the tough finish protein would be up. Going to be lots of feed grains around and quality wheat/barley looking like its going to be in short supply.

The barley quality is sketchy in SA so far. Yields are ok generally but I think the off-spec segs will be opening in full force over the coming weeks.

40-80mm here in two days, so not much happening why we wait for the crops and sheep to dry out. Hopefully we don't see too much shot grain.
