I feel like stocks like SBM, SAR are very sensitive to the gold price trend - if the next day or the same day for gold isnt looking great, it will show in these stocks. Its not an exact correlation, but gold price sentiment seems to move them around. I like to trade them around this also, works okay unless the US market goes completely against current POG price directions. Or the weekend is always a bit risky.
