Hey
I have also noticed this volatile ups and down on the share price movement.
There is speculation of a buy out, but nothing I can find in the media that is concrete.
The price is flexing between 2.60 and 3.05 over the last few months, often with a 4-8% up and down rise intraday.
I bought in at 2.84 and sold at 3.00, now bought back in at 2.86 and think it will come back up again, as the fundamentals of the company, one of the lowest costs of any australian mine to dig up and produce gold, the large gold reserves, zero debt and gold price fairly stable at prices allowing SBM to make significant profits per ounce.
I think if the company announces any sort of dividend the share price would rise on the speculaiton of success. I hope SBM look to acquire some addittional companies soon, additional mining rights, given their current success, zero debt, and very soon to be stockpiles and stockpiles of cash its a good time to acquire some new companies /mining rights to further grow the business.
