petera, i'm not sure what Knights was thinking when he said Essendon could make the finals. They need to bottom out ASAP - get a pick or two this year and see what happens. By the looks of things, they've got some competition though, Freo, West Coast & Melb all wanting a crack at the first couple of picks. Thankfully Carlton have decided to have a dip this year, imagine them tanking as well. The traffic jam for the bottom spot would be incredible.
