Base metals traded higher in Wednesday?s pre-market on the London Metal Exchange (LME) as Glasenberg claimed commodity demand will continue, and banks turned bullish on copper. Three-month copper was trading over the $9,000 mark at $9,013.75 per tonne by 10:36 BST, an improvement on its open price of $8,867 per tonne.
