@Cabbie yes I have played around with the MMA Oscillator previously but have never really used it in any system. It definitely leads the MMAs. Just looking at your chart of MPL its easy to see how it could be used as an early warning indicator for a trend change and also as a trend change confirmation indicator, i.e. when it is above zero the trend is confirmed as being up and vice versa. And when it is above its MA and below zero this would be a warning of a possible trend change to up etc.
