Yes, I know exactly what you mean.  Trading and reading charts are such different skills.  To be honest, reading charts is the easy part.  Waiting for setups to arrive is frustrating at the best of times.  What I've learned though is to have a simple but robust trading plan that you will not deviate from.  That is incredibly difficult to do, as it is so easy to second guess later, always ends badly!  In your plan if you have realistic RR profiles and a bloody solid stop you shouldn't go too wrong, and if you do it should be minimal damage.
