Sengkang, penarakyat.com - Member of DPR RI Commission VII DR. H. Andi Jamaro Dulung, visited the Kampung Baru Gas Field in Poleonro Village, Gilireng Sub District (Tuesday 26/12/2017). During his visit to the gas field operated by Energy Equity Epic (Sengkang) Pty.Ltd (EEES), the United Development Party politician was accompanied by a member of the South Sulawesi provincial parliament, Andi Nurhidayati.
Before visiting EEES entourage stay at Mess PT. Sengkang Energy in Pammana District Patila and at once took time to review the 315 MW gas steam power plant.
Members of the House of Representatives were received by EEES Operations Manager, Suratmin and several senior staff. In his direction, Andi Jamaro Dulung stated that the Commission VII of the House of Representatives in partnership with 3 Ministries namely Ministry of Environment, Dikti - Research and Technology and ESDM so that his visit to EEES is in line with the task field to get closer to EEES as one of gas field operators in South Sulawesi. "I want to know a bit more about EEES company and also to absorb the aspirations of the brothers here" said Andi Jamaro.
Furthermore, the member of the House of Representatives of South Sulawesi II said that a good company is a company that has strong social protection. "It is better for the surrounding community to protect the company, and that can only happen if the presence of the company is perceived by the community" said Soppeng son born in Liu Village Kec. In his presentation EEES management presented by HSE Superintendent Herry RJ said that EEES has been operating Gas Field of Kampung Baru since 20 years ago "We have been manufacturing natural gas for power plant since 1997 and currently we also serve domestic gas network in Sengkang with the number of customers approached 4000 houses "Herry said. Furthermore, EEES has also implemented CSR with the maximum of CSR program covering Economics, Education, Infrastructure, and Health. "All of us participated in a participative, firstly discussed the program with all relevant stakeholders before it was implemented" said CSR EEES Supervisor Andi Gustina.
The delegation of Commission VII had the opportunity to review the operation process of natural gas production in the EEES control room and look at the condition of other facilities, on that occasion the group was given an explanation of the gas production flow and the technology used by the EEES staff.
The familiar atmosphere of the visit ended with a lunch at the Mess EEES.
