Nameuser: The pictures show only part of situation, if article would be correct.
It is said that the volume of tunnel is 20 000 cubic meters,
and apparently the volume of the waste is a substantial part of that.
It is said in the article that behind the waste is waste stone layered on top of
older waste and these layers would repeat. If  older wastes are covered by waste stone that
would make the clean up more difficult, especially if explosives wastes would have been included.

Miningnut:  Interesting theories. My involvement is reading the news and forwarding these.
I would think that at least any conspiracy theories about environmentalists
will be proven as just really creative theories.
