If larger more powerful batteries become more mainstream wont this lead to greater toxic landfill/water pollution and increased demand on very rare earth minerals? Batteries seem like a middle man in the transfer of energy at a cost not only to the environment but also the consumer as the technology improves, batteries become obsolete, how efficient is the recycling model. ..
