    Errr....

    48 volts nominal eh...but between 36v and 57v...that will throw another cat among the pigeons for as we know most devices run on up to 250v / 115v reduced to maybe 6v or 12v through transformers.

    The 48V is DC the 240 V is AC, comparing apples with loaves of bread. As with everything you need an inverter but solid state devices are amazingly adaptable for input voltages, that variation is something/nothing. It is still important to be AC or DC as demanded though.
