Oscar ... results will be released once the trials have finished ... how long? they may go into 3 phases of human trials but that is unknown at this stage.

As for their marketing ... they have billions to spend ... lol.

Current treatment pegalyated interferon/ribavirin manufactured by Roche on the PBS costs the Aus Gov around 44k per patient.

Successful treatment for all genome types 1 - 6 will be an enormous money spinner ... once achieved everything else will be obsolete ... Roche are pushing hard for this outcome.

A point to remember here once HCV is cleared from a patient ... no further treatment is required the liver heals itself even with stage 4 scarring ... chirrosis is untreatable.
