People have given you their opinion but you're not understanding/accepting it.
These performance shares have been around and known about before LPE even listed on the ASX, and they are effectively payment for the business and alligned with shareholders interests which is why they are called "performance shares". I am sure you understand how these work
If these performance shares didn't exist then the directors at LPE would have given their business away to the ASX for free - do you see how silly that sounds now?
Yes it is recorded in the books as a paper entry, and if that's enough to deter you then don't invest
