    Agree with above sentiments.

    Arrow is now in play, and shareholders best hope is a rival bid.

    It will be a long play, given AOE shareholders can wait until July to assess the option of accepting.

    Talk to date, that no other bid has emerged, is nonsense. Why would anyone show hand until now.

    Arrow management has "declared a reserve", and there are 2 or 3 other bidders who will be looking very closely.
    (Why did Mallesons see a conflict?)

    IMO, Origin remains very interesting. They may need to deal themselves ( and Conoco) into a more leading position in Gladstone LNG. What better way than a $6 plus all scrip bid for Arrow. And we know ORG want the international Arrow piece.

    This cleaner transaction could happen more quickly, and CGT relief would be very attractive.

    Where would Shell be then?

    Petrochina is a buyer of product.

    Time to go back into the garden...
