    As a long time business person have many contacts in Rotary and Chamber of Commerce.

    There is no common outcome

    A couple of people I knew and had as customers as well,
    did well.

    One was franchisee at Maccas;
    built the business up, spent big on renovating
    (it's tax deductible)
    Made millions; sold the franchise for mils more.

    The retail food group ones are crap.

    Remember DYOR.
    What other people think does not matter tinker's damn.

    The concept is interwoven with life.
    Even chicken/pig farming.
    The company supplies juvenile stock, feed, vets, buys back at a weight.

    Some food ones, like Bakers Delight are OK,
    but they have you by the goolies as you have to buy their flour and supplies
    at a premium to market price.
    Some bakers do well though.
