The only reason the gold recoveries are typically lower in base metal operations is that the gold grades are usually too low to justify the capital and operating expense of adding an additional circuit to recover it. The typical ~50% recoveries just represent what the flotation process picks up.
If the gold grades are high enough, it would very easy to add say a flash cyanide/fine grinding circuit to capture more of the gold from the tails coming out of the float circuit. It does come down to the mineralogy though and how locked in the gold is ..... and the gold grades. It just has to pay its way.
The gold grades for this mineralisation are pretty damn good in some parts of the deposit delineated to date so I am sure the metallurgists will be seriously looking to see how they can capture it. Far too early for a definitive view.
I am sure ADT would have the met program well and truly ticking along already. Polymetallics can take a few phases of test work to get right.
