    The satellite is equipped with infrared cameras ect of course so it can see clouds at night ect, however that site is just the output of the visible light photos
    this NOAA site has a 10 hour loop of the infrared, however it's about 12 hours behind realtime by the looks vs that other site only about 20 mins

    You can get some pretty awesome sunrises ect if cloud formations are right on the visible light photos.


    PS that Typhoon is looking pretty nasty, hope it doesn't cause to much destruction...
