Further to our announcement dated 30 June 2003, Elders Australia Limited has requested and been given permission to carry out due diligence on Bonlac Foods Limited.

Elders has been given a limited time to complete its due diligence process and make an unconditional offer to the Boards of Bonlac Foods Limited and Bonlac Supply Company Limited.

Meanwhile, Bonlac is continuing its discussions with Fonterra Co-operative Group to restructure the Company.
