Oxides and carbonates are two different forms that elements can be found in.
For example: Yttrium Oxide Y2O3, Yttrium Carbonate Y2(CO3)3.xH2O (Excuse the non subscript numbers).
What is of much more interest is whether they are equally costly to refine, and whether they sell for the same price.
