Its time to let the carbon business go, after all that is what the company has done. The business was completely reliant upon govt regulation to create artificial demand which died as soon as said regulation was changed. Abbott killed the carbon tax because he knew it had nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with wealth redistribution - it was just another tax, dressed in green. As soon as 'the big polluters' started sacking people, Labour gave them back the money, so what was the point? Abbott also knows that if Australia cancels its coal industry, we lose many tens of billions in annual wealth generation that we spend on things Australian refuse to go without, like Medicare, subsidised higher education.... And by the way, there was no 'agreement' between China and USA, just two leaders making meaningless pledges for a photo op. Think about it, China gets to let it rip for 16 years before they lift a finger to reduce their emissions, while USA's emissions are falling regardless of Obama's pledge, largely due to the fracking revolution and environmental regulation forcing innovation - no carbon taxes mentioned, no carbon trading mentioned because it won't happen. So far we don't know what backstabber Bill Shorten will do if he wins the next election, but even if he does the carbon trading business is dead in the water unless China and USA introduce carbon trading too....just look at the European experience to see what that won't happen.

COZ is now operating in an actual, real industry and this is where their future lies.
