With HGO having unused Franking Credits maybe the company could do a BHP and buy back shares at say 1c capital and the remainder in fully franked dividends. There is no issue with the company borrowing for this exercise if needed. The writing is on the wall with Socialism approaching rapidly and the window for the return of FCs is closing and may well be closed. It would be galling to watch the Franking Credits fly out the window without attempting to use them. Does anyone have a $ value on the quantum of the unused FC's?
