have had some similar thoughts myself especially considering other junior copper plays in the area
Glencore (Xstrata) did the dirty on Matrix & Copper Co
although Cape Lambert bought Copper Co they have indicated that they will offload Lady Annie - you would think that they have prospective buyers at least sounded out and xstrata would certainly be on my list
from what i hear Matrix has serious interest in the copper assets although the receiver (who works for Glencore) is giving little away at this stage, again Xstrata would be on my list of prospective buyers
Xstrata has/had jv agreements with both Universal & Matrix
although this is pure speculation it would not surprise me if Xstrata was lining up what, between Lady Annie, Universal's resources & Matrix's resources, is a very decent amount of contained copper at various stages of exploitation - it would certainly prop up the dwindling Mt Isa resource & the assets are comparatively cheap at the moment
