IJ - great post. I once lost half the value of my house in a ridiculous speculative play that has turned out to be a disaster twice. Stupidly I had a second crack and fluked a gain that made it all back and some more.
Moving on ASAP is critical but so is learning the lessons. In my case moving on proved profitable but I look back and wonder at my lack of risk management when I went in for the second crack.
Soj - I am learning the value of diversification - especially into cash . . .
