    Having lived a large chunk of my Life in Africa and watched the legal delays brought on by an African legal system ( yes don't for a minute delude yourself by thinking that african legal systems come anywhere close to those in Europe, Asia and the West), I suspect that ZRL for now is a lost cause. Zambia needs the revenue for its economy but I would doubt that the welfare of the common people is front of mind for the Zambian ruling 'elite'.

    as long as the copper lies in the ground it remains Zambian. I suspect the don't really care who digs it up or when. If ZRL goes under the Zambians would be only to happy to pass it on to the Chinese to dig up as their neighbors in surrounding states are doing willingly. After all the Chinese build roads, schools, rail etc in return and there is far less scrutiny. Congo is the prime example.
