Mr Gatsios was a founding director of the private company when it was established in 2002 and has been CEO of the company since it listed on the ASX in 2006. In a decision reached by both parties, Mr Gatsios will extend his contracted notice period by two months to remain with the company as managing director until 30th June 2012. This extended period will allow Mr Gatsios to complete current projects of strategic importance to the company. Dr Greg Rice (Chairman, HealthLinx Limited) and the Board acknowledge the extraordinary contribution that Nick has made to develop and position the company on the global markets. “The board and I thank Nick for his professionalism and commitment to the company over the past nine years. As CEO, Nick managed the clinical trials and data generation that underpin the company’s OvPlex™ ovarian cancer diagnostic” said Dr Rice. “Nick has achieved many significant milestones with HealthLinx that really are extraordinary given the size and resources that have been available to the company. With the successful completion of the clinical trials, the company is entering a new phase with a major focus on expanding its global marketing, distribution and sales.
