I can't tell you that you are wrong. In fact you are spot on.
It's exactly the scenario I expected once DVI started to get plugged on the DT thread and then the hearts appeared en mass (not knocking the hearts btw, just stating facts).
Such a skittish market doesn't help either.
However, your last paragraph is the saving grace and what makes DVI different from other p & d's.
