There are no real Buffets' here. Electricity prices here are on the rise due to increasing network & infrastructure costs, BS energy policies by the govt. and continous change in govt. regulations which require massive spend in terms of system changes that impact all market participants. Deregulation of metering which adds a third party between retailer and customers doesnt help decrease costs either (all in the name of increasing competition - although there is a definite opportunity in reducing costs here). A lot of people misuse protections laid out for people who really require it...there is a lot more to electricity prices than its appearance...
