If one of the fundamental problems CCL currently have is that they aren't treating the small retailers well, this is an incredibly easy problem to resolve. All this takes is a more proactive sales team to restore those relationships and they get all those retailers back on side.
This is hardly comparable to structural reform that saw the rise of internal combustion engines in cars.
You're talking about service or lack of it. The CCL problem is more analogous to the demise of service that we saw from the Big 4 banks during the 1990's when they had the mass branch closure programs and all the old people were up in arms because they couldn't go into a branch anymore. Look at how that service quality problem was subsequently addressed and where banks are now.
