Oh come on Kiwiboy. Dunedin has a lot of things that would interest an 8 year old. The World's Steepest street. The various wildlife colonies down the Peninsula (Dunedin = Wildlife capital of NZ). A couple of world class museums - Otago Museum which has Discovery World in it that would fascinate an 8 year old and Toitu Settlers Museum which is a high quality social museum which features displays about early settlers, gold mining through to a historical revue of transport from Cobb and Co. coaches through a variety phases to modern day. Plus lots more. A good kid could spend hours there. I bet you have never been to Dunedin Kiwiboy or if you have you did not discover the real jewels that make that city an increasingly attractive place for tourists. Certainly a lot more attractive than anything HDY has to offer.
