In my mind's eye I was seeing "Pre-Tax" returns, for the sake of simplicity, but I omitted to specify it in the post. (No lie; I was. I promise.) [As it is, I think it's a counter-intuitive, and an abstract, notion... without the added complications of taxation implications.]
