I would prefer reh and almost all my companies that generate high roe to retain all their profits as that way I would only pay 25% tax when I eventually sell them rather than having to pay 48% tax on the gross dividends. I also expect the shares would be cheaper as not many others would be happy about that setup. Why would you prefer a lower payout ratio?
