Well up until 11:30 the price has fallen to $0.84 on very little volume, but around midday someone came and dumped half a million shares and drove the price to $0.82.

If someone was really looking to liquidate half a million shares at the best possible price I find it unusual that they opted to do it at midday, rather than in the first or final hour of the day when there is more volume...

Might be someone just trying to push the price around a bit during light trade to try and trigger some stops to shake out some of the weaker holders.

Might be a trader who saw MML hit $0.84 which is its 150 day moving average and decided to sell/short it based on it breaking that technical level.

Or there could be shareholders out there that genuinely don't like MML's or gold's prospects.

    Hard to say.

That said, this has been MML's longest period above it's 150 day moving average since 2012, a streak which is about to be broken if it doesn't close above $0.845 today.
