And then there is the usual 'dab down on the 'news' so as to make it balanced'. Take this gem..."offloading such businesses for lucrative prices isn’t easy"...yeah well, selling big assets never is easy, but it has happened AND in the retirement accommodation industry...LLC sold 50% in late 2017, HomeTown acquired 100% of GTY mid 2018 and INA sold 10% in November 2018.

Plus, I think I'd dispute the assertion that Stockland's retirement assets are "widely considered a higher-quality operation" if you look at the underlying NPAT as a percentage of retirement assets.

The nutritional value of this article is ZERO..but no doubt a journo has fulfilled his promise to fill up 10 cm of column length.
I think we will have to wait until the 1H19 results to get some real news and even then, the Stockland retirement assets on the market might delay final decisions and offers.

well at least get back to around 2.50 before considering sale otherwise pretty much shhldrs other then those buying in now will get screwed if you look at from an NTA basis.

PE will offer 2$ a share and that will be considered a joke. Get me 3$ and I will be happy and its still providing upside for buyer
