Harbour Energy hopes to purchase STO Cheap.
1. Their strategy for Santos is to utilise core assets and infrastructure to launch a new company which will see cheap energy for Australians.
(answer)We are doing that now with out them.
2. They Plan to keep many of the existing jobs in head office.
(answer) Those jobs exist now why do we need Linda to help.
3. They want to contribute to the security of Domestic gas supply in Australia.
(answer) It's happening now with out them.
Why would the board say yes. ?
(answer) The board would say yes because of the short term gain they will receive. They will then go on their merry way much richer for the experience. Meanwhile the people whom have put in the hard yards over the last decade will be simply thrown on the scrapheap. The board may already have new jobs to go to with the ABC or Woodside or who knows where they will stick their heads up after the extended vacation travelling around the planet on the money they made from STO.
Why would shareholders say yes.
(answer) Many shareholders have the same short sited vision as the board.
Why do Harbour persist.???
(answer)
(a) They know very well OIL AND GAS PRICES ARE RISING.
(b) They fully understand the Geographical Position of Gladstone to Asia.
(c) STO Boasts untapped lucrative tenures through out Australasia which would be difficult for a foreign company to get its hands on.
STO is recovering very well, shareholders will make much more money in the next 2 years if they say NO to this cheap shot offer from Linda. That's all it is, it's a cheap shot attempt to take advantage of a company that has put in the hard yards, been to the brink while doing so, but now is set to become a major player in the Energy Space for Australia and indeed Asia and the Pacific.
$6.50 , What a joke, What a joke. Australians can be stupid at times, surely we are not that stupid. There has been pain and stress during the last decade, Don't forget the world has just been through an Energy Crisis. STO survived that Crisis when many did not.
As the Oil Price rises, as Debt is paid back, as infrastructure and knowledge improves, that bad dog STO will quickly be in a position to be able to bite any predator whom threatens it.
I Say No to Linda.
