Thanks for your constructive reply. In fact, I'm not new to investing. I have my own superfund, a margin loan and worked in the financial markets for 30 years. I have been on Hot Copper for years just never posted. Found the discussions on companies of interest very helpful in my research.

I've read about Hansen and seen them recommended in various places hence I was surprised by those comments by ex employees. Usually star companies have great cultures so what they said seemed out of synch. I fully accept that these are but 2  comments from former employees and the disgruntled are the ones that tend to publicise their discontent. That's why I raised the matter here. Looking at the senir management team and of course I could completely be wrong but they look like old school types, with long careers at the place. This can work really well  or it can be not so good -those on the inside, those on the outer, unchallengeable authority etc. So I think as well as the numbers, culture is important.

But I've read nothing to suggest that the culture is in fact toxic and they are still on my maybe list.
