Halifax broker gone into administration, page-14

Thanks for this - what's the safest way to hold? I thought through a custodian was- however there is clearly a misconception about how shareholders are protected given ASIC complete and utter negligence to allow shareholder funds to be at risk by dodger broker practices. I mean these guys are in charge of over seeing the stock exchange- apologies for my rant but I'm raging.
